Corporate Rock Still Sucks
Thursday, August 9th, 2007So, apparently AT&T censored some sort of anti-Bush rant that Pearl Jam uttered during a webcast or something. I don’t really know the details, and I don’t really care. Did anybody really think that Pearl Jam might like George Bush? Whatever. I do love the intro to Wonkette’s insightful coverage of the incident though:
Do you remember the “grunge music”? It was a short-lived variant of meathead stadium rawk featuring incoherent wails of discontent, terrible music and a sort of homeless-lumberjack-sasquatch costume. Nobody liked it. Anyway, one of the “grunge sensations” was called “Pearl Jam” which, we think, is some sort of piercing-salon slang for ejaculating on the neck of your “old lady” or something.
