Tom Waits can blow me.
So, Tom Waits is doing a tour. Wasn’t his last tour, like, ten minutes ago? It must’ve been, because I remember going, and I remember having a good time. I also remember there being a line about ten miles long, and the show starting about 6 hours late because it took so damn long to process all the fans thru the security procedure.
OK, so once upon a time, a Tom Waits tour was kind of a rare thing, and I could see that it might not be a totally bad idea to try to put a lid on scalper activity. But now he’s back again only two years later, playing a venue several times larger, and check out these hoops you have to jump thru if you want to go:
What: Tom Waits “Glitter and Doom” Tour
When: Saturday, July 5, 8 p.m.
Where: Fox Theatre, Atlanta
How much: Tickets are $67 and $87, plus applicable service fees, on sale starting Friday, May 16, 10 a.m. Eastern time. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 404.249.6400 only. Tickets are not available at retail locations or the box office. All tickets sold through Ticketmaster will be delivered via Paperless Ticket. Buyers will not receive paper tickets for these events.
